Crapko Family Oatmeal

This is a recipe from Jeff’s family. Jeff’s dad is the breakfast master in the Crapko house. Ever since Jeff was a little kid, his dad was in charge of making breakfasts, especially special weekend breakfasts. And I have had some awesome weekend breakfasts at the Crapko’s! This is one of the many breakfast recipes from my father-in-law’s repertoire. He would make this cinnamony, apple-and-raisin-studded oatmeal Sunday evening so it would be ready for the week ahead. Roasted Chickpeas

I’m a snacker. It’s not a great habit but when I have something healthy to nibble on I don’t feel so guilty. I saw this recipe on Steamy Kitchen and I knew I had to make these. Crispy, crunchy, seasoned however I want. And it’s a really easy recipe. In under an hour, I had a delicious, healthy snack ready for munching. It doesn’t get much better than that. Blue Cheese Portobello Burgers + Grill Intro

Jeff and I have settled into our new apartment. We love our new place, and one of the big reasons why is our balcony AND the new grill we have on said balcony! So we have been grilling almost every day since we moved in. Well, I prep the food and work on indoor cooking and Jeff grills, because grilling is a man activity (mantivity?). Also, it’s hot out there next to the grill and I don’t know about you but I like air conditioning. So here’s a pic of our new baby:
